Coalition for Responsible Health Care The Coalition for Responsible Healthcare provides a forum for citizens of the Roanoke Valley to examine the effect of the Carilion Clinic on their healthcare choices. The Carilion Clinic is a not for profit system that has established a monopoly health system. Please look at their forums. See the news article from the Wall Street Journal dated August 29, 2008. There are some disturbing parallels to local developments.

When physicians submit correctly coded health care claims, health insurers and other third-party payers may still inappropriately delay, deny or significantly reduce payments. The significant savings that could be realized from more efficient claims processing could be better spent on increasing the quality of patient care and reducing the burden of high premium costs to consumers.
